I want to stretch the limits of how deeply I can fall in love with You.

It is so important that we leave room for God to satisfy us. I am a pleasure seeker, and in a world that offers pleasure in many forms, it is so easy to gorge myself on everything but Him. These things (praise from other people, religious practices, media, food, sexual pleasure, etc.) may not be evil in nature, but become sinful when they fill me in ways that God can.
He is not going to force Himself on us - that’s free will. He has shown me that I can help fix this by intentionally choosing Him instead of something else that would please me. For me, that could be as simple as choosing not to play Temple Run. Instead, I can go to a quiet place, maybe put on some worship music, and let Him tell me how much He loves me. I can read through His many promises, and pray them over myself and others. Or, I can worship Him, which will in turn remind me of His goodness.
It’s such a simple concept, but if it doesn’t happen, I end up turning to other idols. I don’t want to be like the people of Israel, who were too busy prostituting themselves to notice that they were being lead into the wilderness for 40 years. In order for me to avoid that, I need to dwell upon my Father’s love for me.

- remember that i matter, that i am valuable in His sight, and that what He has given to me matters
- remember that He has been faithful in the past, and He will be faithful at every moment
- not to lean on my own understanding
- to bind the enemy by the power given to me by His Spirit in me
